Hey there! I’m Attie, the creator of Valhalla Music Studio.
My passion for music started at around 5 years old, when my dad downloaded a copy of Anvil Studio to the home PC, so one could say that was my first ever DAW. I was instantly fascinated with the ability to make music with a computer and would spend hours upon hours just making random stuff and trying out all the different instruments and synths it came with.
When I turned 11, my mom was able to afford some guitar lessons for me, which quickly turned to bass lessons since I didn’t really like the guitar that much at the time.
Sometime later, when I was about 16, I started playing with a random online synth sequencer, which led me to discover more professional DAWs like FL Studio, Ableton and Reaper.
Here’s when I started getting into proper composition and production, spending tons of hours watching every single YouTube video and guide I could find. I tried most DAWs, but ended up sticking mostly with
FL Studio due to the incredible piano roll and intuitive layout.
After a couple of years of learning everything I could about composition, acoustics, equipment and techniques, I decided I wanted to become a video game composer, so I created an account on Fiverr and waited. About six months passed until I received my first commission. It was only $10 but I was so happy my music was going to be used in an actual game!
